At Tommy Garner Heating & Air Conditioning (TGAC), we’re proud of the long-standing relationships we’ve built with our commercial clients, none more enduring than the one we share with BayPort Credit Union.

For over two decades, TGAC has supported BayPort’s HVAC needs across its branches and facilities, and according to Operations Manager Chris Jones, that partnership has grown into something much deeper than a typical vendor-client relationship.

“BayPort places high value in the long-time relationships we have with many of our service providers,” Jones said. “We have a lot invested in each other at this point and share a true understanding of what’s important to one another.”

We’ve always believed that our service should reflect not only technical expertise, but also trust, integrity, and community commitment – values that we share with BayPort. That shared mindset has created a foundation for a partnership that feels more like teamwork than a transaction.

“TGAC gets that, and they honor us by providing support to match. It’s like running with the wind at your back,” Jones added.

Over the years, our technicians have responded to many emergencies at BayPort, always with urgency, professionalism, and a can-do attitude. Whether it’s a system failure during peak heat or supply chain challenges during industry shortages, we find a way to keep operations running smoothly.

“I feel like a cat that has used up every one of its nine lives with the many times the teams at TGAC have saved us,” Jones joked. “Regardless of time of day or the conditions, the teams at TGAC have never hesitated to serve us with the utmost professionalism.”

 

Confidence in Every Call

A key part of our service promise is reducing the burden on our commercial clients. For BayPort, that means resolving issues quickly and correctly, often without requiring heavy involvement from their internal teams.

“I could point the TGAC team in the direction of a problem and come away with a solution that completely hits the mark,” Jones noted. “That’s a big deal.”

“Your crews are always available and competent. I never find myself going through multiple points of contact or sifting through endless proposals,” Jones said. “That leads to valuable time savings and peace of mind.”

What has made this relationship stand the test of time? According to Jones and CEO Jim Mears, it comes down to shared values and mutual respect.
